113 - Viva Las Lapras. Goodbye to Lapras, one of my favorites ;;
A weekly review on what I’ve been up to, since I am that free. This will include if I’ve been reading mangas, gaming, watching tv, personal archievements etc.
Overview

Aku No Hana, Episode 10
It’s like with every episode the level of ‘how fucked up is this’ is actually rising. Apart from the other episodes I found this to be more relaxed though, in the beginning. The excitement gradually picked up when Nakamura suddenly stripped him off his clothes.
Still Saeki tried to hold onto him and I gotta say I grew very fond of her. She’s trying so hard to understand Kasuga, while he has totally mixed feelings about Nakamura and… I don’t know what’s going on either.
Not even his confession at the end made it clear for me, except that he realized that he’s ‘the worst piece of shit’. I gotta agree, especially when he couldn’t make a decision. I am not saying it’s an easy decision, maybe he’s a little crazy and likes being degraded, but damn, even if it scares you, the girl of your dreams is having feelings for you!
3 more episodes to go, then this will end, just like the police came for those three.

Arata Kangatari, Episode 9
It’s finally getting interesting with Kadowaki finally being in the same world as his ex-friend Hinohara Arata. In this episode we get a closer look at their past and Kadowaki being pissed at Arata for no reason really. His own issues aren’t Arata’s fault for all we know, but it’s very exciting though.
Especially the little fight between them at the beginning. Arata loses control over his Hayagami and thus it starts to demonize. Kotoha stops him and gets to know the truth about the worlds. I am routing for them now all the way, having seen the hug Arata gave her at the end.
Before that hug, Arata’s Hayagami gets thrown away by Kannagi and before sundown he has to find it again. He does find it in the mouth of an wolf and while running after it, he remembers his moments with Kadowaki, when they were friends. This little flashback is heartwarming. other than Kadowaki’s, which is purely pushing his hatred.
In the end, after doubting himself and getting the Hayagami back, Arata returns to his group and this last moment is the most beautiful of the whole episode. he finally found his strength back, time to move on. And guess who helped him? Kannagi.

Chihayafuru 2, Episode 23
One of my favorites animes, it’s all wonderful and emotional \o/
The episode starts off with Taichi winning against Retro-kun and advancing into the Final of the B class. His net opponent is Rio, who barely lost to Ayase in the team matches. Both are being pressured into winning by their team mates and I would absolutely hate that, come on, nobody needs such angry glares.
Arata and the Queen, Shinobu, meanwhile are in the final of Class A. They play in a different room from Taichi and Desktomu-kun, who also advanced into the final, congrats on that bro, I am proud!
Ayase once again fell asleep somewhere and after waking up, she witnesses Arata and Shinobu, who both seemed to have won. While Arata only smiles against Shinobu’s almost deathly threats (gotta love his attitude ♥) Porky comes to inform Ayase about their teammates. She now has to decide, it’s either cheering Taichi on or witnessing the biggest match of all time.
Shinobu keeps on mentioning that they don’t need friends and who faces the cars alone, is the strongest. Arata seems to disagree (and I absolutely loved that moment, it was like a slap into her face) and the match starts with Shinobu admitting, that she needs to save those cards she’s good at and lose the others to Arata, since he’s a strong opponent.
Porky thinks that Taichi wouldn’t like to be watched, as he has fought all alone until now and made it this far, so he decides to watch The Class A final. Taichi on the other hand is in his calmest state ever before the final, that is… until Ayase arrives! (Maybe… just maybe I ship them too).
He thought she wouldn’t come and rather watch the other big match, but the most important thing for her is Taichi making Class B. (Okay… /flails/) I absolutely loved it when she came into the room and Taichi was all shocked and confused, that was so lovely.
So Taichi thinks he has to win quickly, so Ayase can watch the other match. This was about the loveliest moment of all. He thinks and cares about this girl so much and it’s so visible and if it wouldn’t be for Arata, I would cheer him on to get Ayase. He’s such a great character and the development in this episode is astonishing.
After being presured to no end, Rio and Taichi make lots of faults, but Taichi is determined to win, determined to fight against talent and he wins in the end, dragging Chihaya to watch the other match, but she’s so happy, she even cries when she congratulates him. In the end both cry and I had to cry too TT__TT
Taichi gets the spotlight in this episode, clearly and he deserves it. He’s such a devoted and hard-working person, you simply need to love him.
And oops, that was so much, excuse me.

Detective Conan, Episode 699 / The Shadow Approaching Haibara’s Secret
God dammit, did I wait long for this episode? YES. Maybe a month or more, I am fed up with all those fillers. I do like the side stories, but I am all excited for the main plot!
So Conan and his friends go on a camping trip. After a few funny moments with Conan being called a pervert (way to go Haibara) they reach their destination. Conan and the professor go to buy some utensils and meet Sera, who concidentally is there as well (after making a call to Ran).
The other kids go to collect wood for the fire and notice someone burying a corpse. They try to flee and reach a little cabin. the murderer locks them in, while Haibara is suffering from recently caught cold. The corpse was killed in the cabin, indicating that the murderer was together with the murdered woman. However he sets the cabin on fire.
Conan and his companions come back, only to notice the absence of his friends. They also spot police officers, who are analyzing a corpse they found, because of a call Haibara made. They start to analyze the situation, but since they’re on a camping field, lots of fires with lots of smoke are there, not only the fire which is burning the cabin.
The police finds three suspects and the hunt begins. I am so excited for the next part. Detective Conan always keeps me hyped up for what is next, especially with that title. Can’t wait for Bourbon’s or Subaru’s appearances.

Karneval, Episode 11
A very interesting episode with finally a clue on Karoku’s whereabouts!
The episode starts off with Gareki, Yogi, Nai and Jiki having their day off, while Jiki leaves the group quickly. In the Nyanperona shop Gareki makes a fuss over the cat being not real (and thus destroying children’s dreams). After getting out, they meet Yanari, who bribes them into finding a “pasta shop”. He also seems to know about Circus. So they search after it.
Yogi meanwhile gets a message from Hirato that they must search for a young boy who escaped from his father, called Yanari.
The boyguards from Yanari’s father catch up quickly, but Hirato manages to let Yogi, Nai and Yanari escape. They reach Yanari’s desired destination, but he gets to know that his mother (the one who should have been in the “pasta shop”) died. Having rejected his mother in the past, after she left the family’s house (because she couldn’t put up with her husband’s job), he’s scared of becoming like his father, a cold and bad man. Yogi (with a slap) convinces Yanari that he is kind and if something should happen, he has friends.
Gareki meanwhile has been tied up by Hirato, who asks him, if he wants to become a child of the second ship (I literally flailed although I don’t know what that really means, but somehow it should mean becoming a member of Circus!!)
In the end they bid farewell to Yonari. Nai briefly mentions that Karoku has been kind to him too, which triggers some of Yanari’s memories, having heard the name before. A while later Yanari gives Nai a call, giving him information where he heard that name before. A girl named Erisyuka (I wanna know her fucking connection to Karoku, dammit!) seems to have mentioned it before.
Later on, he has one of those “dreams/visions” again, with Karoku telling him where exactly he is located, he also mentions that he’ll be killed soon (not really now). So Nai informs everyone, but doesn’t get a real permission. He settles with going alone, but Gareki and his friends want to accompany him, that is until Hirato appears, granting them permission, meaning he will take full responsibility for the assault and “saving Karoku” (I don’t really believe it…)
I am fucking excited for next week!! I wonder if Karoku’s death threat really exists and in which form.

Oreimo, Episode 11, Little Sisters can’t barge in on their brother who lives alone
With such a badass long title for each episode only good things can happen, so Kyousuke’s parents force him to live alone, being suspicious of his close relationship to his sister nowadays (now that they mention it, they’re right indeed!) However, if he happens to get an A on the mock exam, he can return.
While Kyousuke lives alone, Kirino comes along (being definitely worried about him) and buys him a fridge. She also gives a new top eroge to him and they even bet on Kyousuke getting an A or not, if he does, he has one wish free.
Kurisu Kanako calls a little later and invites herself over. She wants to learn cooking in order to make up with her parents. Despite the food being bitter and bad, Kyousuke eats it all, bringing a little flush to her cheeks (don’t deny it~) She also happens to come across the eroge as she searched for porn (what the fuck even?) After Kyousuke explaining what the girl is going on the back cover (eating sausages) he gives in and admits that this is a very dirty game. However, Kanako doesn’t believe in Kirino being an otaku (who would with that splendid image?) but promises to take care of her nevertheless.
Later on Aayase comes to visit (I already happened to miss her… No way) and gives him a knife (he mistakes it as a weapon and wants to run off) they happen to talk about the moving in party, Manami throws for Kyousuke and they want to help Manami and Kirino getting along, after Kyousuke has mentioned that kirino seems to dislike Manami.
When Ayase wants to leave, Kuroneko happens to visit as well and a big battle starts, Kyousuke being right in the middle of the word fight, unable to give attention to both of them. Kuroneko is not qualified to be Kirino’s friend, is what ayase says, due to her seeming to ignore Kirino’s wishes (no way in fucking hell) while Kuroneko says that she would be fine, if Kirino had sex with Kyosuke (I don’t believe you, but oh my god was that awkward) and thus being called a freaking pervert by Ayase.
After Kuroneko gives Kyousuke the food she prepared, another talk battle starts with Ayase accusing Kuroneko of coming along only to show off her uniform and be alone with Kyousuke, he however earns a slap after mentioning that Ayase said the same when she came (good point here) Kuroneko then asks what kind of relationship these two have, the sexual harasser and his victim (I literally laughed my ass off) was Ayase’s answer and within second a big anime battle starts with light beams and such, because Ayase happens to dislike them being close for some reason she doesn’t know (oh girl, you’re so slow)
In the end she leaves and Kyousuke tells Kuroneko that he won’t date anyone before things aren’t settled with Kirino, Kuroneko seems to agree and wants to try her best to make it work out (this ship is so precious yet so emotional) Kirino meanwhile lies in Kyousuke’s bed and it’s super clear that she misses him, which for once I find kinda sweet about her.

Pokemon, Season 1, Episode 74 - 80
A week ago I decided to re-watch Pokemon, from the very first season on and already reached episode 74. I really love Pokemon and I just got into this phase again, so I am a little obsessed.
Anyway, besides the usual fails of Team Rocket, there are a lot of Gary x “Ashie-boy” moments (I SHIP).
Ash reached the Indigo Plateau for the Pokemon League, for which he has gained 8 badges. Gary did as well, along with his very smart cheerleaders (gotta love those rhymes). I absolutely loved the moment when Ash stepped into the league at night with this very strong gaze and the will to win. He even meets a Moltres at the opening ceremony, a very rare Pokemon. In order to reach the Indigo stadium he has to battle on 4 fields (water, fire, rock, plants).
His first platform and battle is on the water field. Even if he’s using Krabby for the first time, he wins the battle, with Krabby evolving into Kingler. Ash is so badass, his Kingler even knows Hyper Beam. The second field is rock where he splendidly wins with using Squirtle. 3rd match is one the ice field, where he wins with Pikachu, setting the whole platform on electricity, way to go.
Gary on the other hand loses his 4th battle, unlike Ash. His fourth battle on the grass field is rather successful, using the quick Bulbasaur (loved how quick it avoided the attacks) against Scyther. Nevertheless Bulbasaur loses against Bellsprout, just like Pikachu, but oh so ugly Muk wins with a Body Slam. Anyone would die from the odor. Gotta love how Misty acknowledges Ashes skills though. I like how he finally showed something, of what he is actually capable of, like thinking ahead. That Muk x Ash hug was very adorable too.
Next Ash meets his new best friend Richie. Stuck in the lift Richie uses his brain and saves Ash and co. Team Rocket steals their Pokemons though and Ash & Richie start tracking them down, thus need to camp outside one night and have a sweet talk. Needless to say that both are my new big ship, right? Richie happens to own similar Pokemons as Ash, although he named them differently and at the end of the day, they get their Pokemons back with lots of team work.
As predictable as it was, Richie is also Ash’s 5th opponent. After checking the database of the Pokemon league, Ash and his friends find out that Richie uses similar Pokemons to Ashes, if not the same. Richie and Ash pick up their Pokemon at the Pokemon Center and promise to have “the best match ever”, while Joy means battling a friend is wonderful, cause if you’re sorry, you can still be happy for your friend.
Later on Jesse from team Rocket imitates Richie on the phone, luring Ash in and taking him away. Nevertheless Ash manages to set the car on water (more like filling it) and manages to escape with their balloon. Almost coming too late, Ash enters the stadium and the battle begins. It doesn’t take long for Ash to lose, since his Charizard is nowhere near respecting its trainer, taking a nap in the match and thus gets disqualified. Ash, despite struggling, congratulates Richie. One of the moments I loved the most this season. I honestly wouldn’t have been able to say that, I absolutely hate losing.
In the last episode of the first season a totally depressed Ash lies in his bed, moping around. Misty, who tries to motivate him, ends up fighting with Ash and only Pikachu’s electro shock can stop them. Ash finally stops moping around and goes to support Richie (what a lovely ship). Despite Ashes support, Richie loses against the Ivysaur with his Pikachu. Later on Ash meets Richie at a lake and while Ash has been acting like a big baby, Richie mentions that “we can learn a lot from losing”. I totally have to agree here. While their Pikcahus are playing around, Team Rocket attacks them, but my OTP fights them off. Misty and Brock come to pick them up for dinner and Richie gladly joins them.
At the ending ceremony, Ash and Richie walk in together to get their badge. After wonderful fireworks and everyone leaving the stadium, Ash and Richie promise to get Pokemon Masters no matter what. With this lovely promise, the first season ends with a flashback which almost made me cry. I simply love Pokemon, the determination to reach one’s goal, personified by Ash.
Onto the next season, the adventure in the orange isles!

Pokemon, Season 2, Episode 81 - 89
Great, a new ark is coming. In the opening (which I personally not prefer over the first one) I could already spot Lapras, one of my favorites! Anyway, in the first episode of the new season, Pallet is throwing a party for Ash. Team Rocket happens to give out spicy food, making Ash and his friends angry. Nevertheless Team Rocket manages to get their hands on Pikachu for a while, with Pidgeotto being attacked by Arbok. Charizard somehow manages to rescue the party though (although it was bombed away and Charizard only did it because his food was taken away). So Pidgeotto is healed very soon and Ash takes off for another journey, wanting to do Professor Oak a favor, getting the mysterious GS Ball from Professor Ivy. On their way they get into a forest and meet some super aggressive Spearow and a Fearow. Other Pidgeottos live in the forest but are scared of the Spearows. After a fight against those aggressive Pokemons, where Pidgeotto evolves into Pidgeot, they disappear. Ash decides to give the horde of Pidgeottos his Pidgeot as a leader and protector, leaving it behind. For a while only, I hope. I absolutely love these moments where Ash gives them away, after so many memories, for the good of other Pokemon.
Ash and his friends then leave for the orange islands on a blimb, a ride with no pilot since Team Rocket has once again not thought about everything for their plan. Besides the blimb being all destroyed anyway, they try to fly it with the manual, a big laughter here for everyone, while Togepi has gotten lost on the bumpy ride. Jigglypuff makes its way around as a ghost, scaring them all. After Team Rocket leaves the blimb (not on their free will) Ash and his friends try to land the airship, not that successful, but they manage to survive, along with Togepi, who had taken a cruise around the airship.
In the hot weather they finally reach Professor Ivy’s laboratory and see the GS Ball, a very mysterious Pokeball. They also spot some differences in the Pokemon they meet on the island because of the different climate. So the environment does effect Pokemon, too. Brock makes a super tasty food for Butterfree, which didn’t eat for days, impressing Professor Ivy. He also happens to clean their kitchen and make dinner. At night he follows Ivy to watch some Pokemon. A Raticate happens to get wounded and everyone heads to the Pokemon center /gotta love the sleepy images of Ash and Misty). When everything’s alright and Ash wants to head back, Brock decides to stay with Ivy and co. “Friends forever”, I know we will meet again soon, Brock, although I found the goodbye pretty emotional. I absolutely adore this friendship. So in the end Ash and Misty lured in by Team Rocket again (oh so not obvious) get stuck on the newly created airship on their way back, but not before they get mistaken as a couple (man that was funny).
While they sleep, the airship lands on an island which appears to be deserted. A bunch of weird tourists suddenly comes along and take photos of Ash and Misty, before they move on to find themselves in a Pokemon theme park! After a short walk they spot three idiots picking on a Lapras. Scenes like this really hurt me, I find it horrible when humans resort to violence on living beings. So after fighting those idiots off (and a weird moment of a new character named Tracy analyzing the Pokemon) they want to help the wounded Lapras, which isn’t too fond of humans anymore, understandable. They bring it to the Pokemon center, where they get to know about Tracy being a Pokemon watcher. Together they want to get Lapras back to its group on the ocean, but Lapras doesn’t want to come any close to them, so Ash dives into the water, but fails miserably when Team Rocket comes along (another funny moment, Tracy’s interview with Meowth). and manages to steal Lapras. After tracking them down and Ash trying his best to save Lapras, they fall of a cliff. In the last moment Ash tells Lapras that they’ll stick together no matter what, earning its absolute trust (moments like this are so great). Lapras brings Ash back to the shore with Ash telling them that he caught this nice little baby Lapras. Lapras even cuddles a little with Ash /insert flailing here/.
Their next journey is to Mikan island, where Ash gets to battle the first gym trainer of the Orange Islands. The battle however isn’t a real fight. Skills of the Pokemons are tested in a different way (which I personally really like). So both choose a Water Pokemon and whoever shoots the most cans via water gun wins. Seadra and Squirtle try their best and it ends in a draw. They move onto moving targets, both exceptionally manage to hit them targets. So whoever hits it quicker, wins and again, it ends in a draw, both hitting it at the same time. They battle it out with a Wave Ride. After a very dramatic entrance of Team Rocket and them flying off again, both trainers get on their Pokemon (Ash on Lapras and Sissy (did I catch her name) on a Turtoise) and ride the waves. It’s a damn close match, but Ash gets a great idea and lets Lapras use its ice beam and ends up winning when Lapras hops onto the ice. First badge a full success!
Ash and his friends continue travelling to the next island, where due to a psychic power all Pokemon turn against their trainers! Even Meowth turns evil and gets into a building where Butch and Cassidy (long time no see idiots) work on their evil plan. Team Rocket follow Meowth and end up in a word fight for the right motto for Team Rocket. Nevertheless all Pokemon (under the control of a Drowzee) fight Team Rocket off, lying unconsciously on the street soon after. They’re being picked up by Ash and his friends, in the end helping them fight Butch and Cassidy. As Pikachu’s being controlled by Drowzee, Ash gets an idea and runs around, getting hit by Pikachu over and over again (Butch’s even mistaking it that Ash likes pain lol), thus destroying the machine that enables Drowzee to control all Pokemon. The fight ends when Togepi copies Drowzee’s Metronom movements, a giant explosion takes place. Butch and Cassidy are being send to jail once again and Ash and his companions move on.
As the journey on the water goes on, Ash and his friends find a letter in a bottle, soon after getting onto Sunburst Island which is known for producing glass. They meet a little girl in trouble, called Marissa, who apparently send the bottle. She wants to see a Crystal Onix for her brother, who has lost all inspiration for making Pokemon figures, he is depressed over not being as good as his grandfather. Everyone then goes to find the Onix, Marill leads the way with its super ears. They end up in front of another island, when suddenly the water parts. They enter the cave and Marissa’s brother tries to capture it, but realizes in the end, that he got all the inspiration he needs and thus lets it go.
Back on Lapras back again, they talk about Togepi and how Misty tried to teach it attacks, to no avail. They’re being caught in a whirpool and wake up an a new island. They climb up the cliff and see a pink Rhihorn. Tracy starts studying it, when Misty and Ash have another argument with Ash going up to that Rhihorn, stroking it and making it angry. It starts hunting them, when Togepi rescues them per teleportation. Rhihorn falls from a cliff and along with the officer of the pokemon reservation on this island, they rescue it. Later on Pikachu tries the pink berries and gets a little pink too (which is so effin’ cuuute!) We get to learn that if Pokemon eat them continuously they will turn pink. Ash and co reached Pinkan island, which is being protected by a lot of rangers. team Rocket meanwhile happen to make a Nidoking angry Ash and his friends have to calm it down again, only to be saved by another teleportation made by Togepi. The Officer coolly ties the Nidoking up with a rope and thus calming it (or more like confusing it)
As their journey goes on, two ships almost drive them over on water. Once they reach the new island, they get to see a reporter and her camera team, reporting on extinct Pokemon. After getting on camera (Ash and Tracy want to send their greetings to everyone) they get to know about the Kabuto fossils and the archaeology team. On the search for more fossils, a lot of loud “accidents” happen, with a few images of a shadow man, we all know that those aren’t accidents. Ash and Pikachu successfully chase after him. The old man then tells about the prophecy and orders them to leave the island. Of course they don’t leave and continue to search, finding a lot of Kabuto fossils in a hole at a Bay. Team Rocket (as always) comes to steal them and the red moonlight awakes all those Kabutos. The island is made of Kabutos and thus happens to sink. Ash and his friends then run to the forest to make a boat out of wood. In the end they watch the Kabuto leave, for perhaps a new home.

Shingeki No Kyojin, Episode 11
One of my favorites of the spring season, if not actually the best.
Eren now as a biological weapon against humans, has the mission to seal the hole in the wall, preventing other Titans from entering. In this episode we clearly get to see how terrified soldiers are by now, not wanting to die and thus rebelling against superiors, which almost ends in a fight. Humans are not yet united against the Titans and as long as they aren’t, I don’t think they will beat them soon. On the other hand I can understand them and I love how this episode focuses on humanity against humanity for once.
The commander introduces Eren as the überhuman, more like titanic (oh pun here) who will try to seal the hole in the wall. A long speech of the commander follows which overall is rather inspiring, about Titans against Humans and Humans vs Humans. However Armin will make up a plan for this project, although he is doubtful about it all. I just have to appreciate how much value comes to him by now.
Anyone who wants to leave this project is permitted to by the Commander, however, he somehow manages to let most of them stay. Eren meanwhile makes it clear to Mikasa that he’s not a little child anymore, Mikasa gets to join the elite troops around Eren though.
The project finally starts with a long talk about responsibility and that Eren bears the responsibility of a lot of human lives. In the end Eren turns into a Titan, probably losing control and thus attacks Mikasa, which IS NOT OKAY.
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WAIT A WEEK? I WANT IT TO GO ON. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TT_TT

Game of Thrones, Season 3, Episode 10 / Mhysa
I watched the season finale of Game of Thrones which means waiting a year for season 4? Unbearable.
That aside this episode was very very good and exciting. I was totally shocked when Sam met Jon’s little brother Bran so suddenly. I found the encounter quite interesting though as nobody manages to stop Bran now. The scene of him walking beyond the wall is absolutely brilliant. I wonder how it goes on.
Another tormenting scene of course included Theon and Ramsay, I finally got to know his name (maybe I just missed out on his). I have to admit that i found the ‘cock scene’ kinda funny, although I find Theon’s new home very disturbing.
Ygritte shooting Jon with an arrow was such a shocking scene for me I nearly bawled (well not really). It absolutely broke my heart, given they’re one of my OTPs, especially the look on her face after she shot him, not even aiming for his head or heart, which makes me think that she only wants to hurt him, although three arrows was a little overdone.
No matter how much the Lannisters hate themselves, I find those talks which Thyrion and Cersei have quite enjoyable. I like the honesty, especially in this episode. Still, why did Jaime return home so quickly? I didn’t expect him to reach King’s Landing so soon and safely. I smell a love triangle coming along…
Another home returner is Jon Snow. It was really cute when he said his buddy’s names. He’s now back at Black Castle I think, hopefully his wounds will be treated carefully, but I am sure he’ll be fit in season 4.
The last scene was booming though. Daenerys being lifted by the slaves (or so not more slaves?) and the dragons flying up to the sky, along with the absolute brilliant background music. Not much to say, besides that I am very sad it ended like this. The Red Wedding might have been a better ending episode, but I am fine with this… The wait’s not something I am fine with though.

I’ve actually already played through the main plot of Golden Sun, but I noticed another side mission, that being the Crossbone Isle. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of riddles one had to solve, about 6 levels, if I am correctly. Those were good, some a little more difficult and some pretty easy, overall no big challenge.
The last enemy (a pirate who didn’t appreciate your presence on his dear ship) however proved to be very powerful, although I was already over level 30 (while I saw 24+ was recommened (man am I bad)) with all four, I didn’t manage to beat him the first time, not even the second or third until I finally realized how to organize my Djinns and just block his Psyenergy attacks. When it finally worked on and I bet him, I advanced to get my last item and thus having finished this nice piece of a good game within 35 hours.
Onto the the sequel!!

On Friday I finally started the sequel, called Golden Sun: the Lost Age. It starts off at the Venus Lighthouse, where Isaac’s journey has ended in the prequel, with them beating Menardi and Saturos. Felix has jumped off the Lighthouse to rescue Cosma (Sheba in the English version), while Jenna, Kraden and Alex were left behind, fighting their way through the ship. Firstly I have to say, that this is gonna be brilliant, taking the point of view of those who you first viewed as some kind of enemies. Nevertheless I took on the role of Jenna, eventually ending up on an island, which broke off its continent, as seen in the prequel’s end.
After a pretty long talk (I have to admit it was very informative though) on the island, which now has docked onto another continent, you set off on a new journey, this time with Felix. I went straight ahead to the first town, called Daila. There was not much to do, besides hearing some kids talk about some other kids not being back yet and stocking up on weapons and such.
A hint from the priest send me to the Kandorean Temple, where the headmaster a monk named Poi is. He trains some kind of spiritual energy, which is definitely alike to psyenergy, if not actually the same. So I climbed up through the hole (a rather short dungeon!) and got myself a new Psyenergy with which I can transport ropes, so to say.
With that new Psyenergy in store, I went to the Shrine of the Sea God, where two kids are stuck. After a little help from my side, they went home (thanks to god, their talk was rather annoying, but at least well-mannered with a thanks). Another rather short (more or less, since there wasn’t much to do yet) dungeon follows, where I got my second Djinn, Breath. The first was Echo, waiting right after leaving Daila.
On my way back to Daila, I met Alex (he’s still so mysterious and I like it ♥) who wants to work alone and thus leaving again. next was the Dehkan Plateau, a bigger dungeon, nevertheless really exciting with holes, a new Psyenergy and of course, a new Djinn, Pound, which I had to hunt after, which was in itself amusing and a super clever idea. After leaving the Plateau again, I spotted Menardi’s ship, but useless right now, since the black ball has gotten lost (not for long I had to realize!!)
After catching a new Djinni, iron, which was waiting on the world map, I went to Madra, the big ship town everyone talked about in Daila. However, some meanie pirates plundered the city and thus, no ship’s left (could it have been that easy to get a ship?). I was rather surprised about meeting a new character already, but Aaron (who is a Merkur-Adept for sure) won’t yet join, sadly, I like his blue hair so much. He noticed my presence (oh dear ♥) but is keen on waiting for the elder to free him, since he sits in jail, mistaken as a pirate. [add: he’s called Piers in the English version]
So the journey goes on with the main way to Alhafra (another city with ships) being destroyed. Once again I have to take a detour through a desert (did I mention that I absolutely hate dungeons like that? I had to try three times to get to the Djinn!) I managed to get a new Psyenergy (now I can dig holes) and beat a giant scorpion. Thus returning to the beginning of the desert where I found a group of weird looking tourists (oh it’s the elder being stuck in the desert).
I guess I will find my way out of this desert by next week.

My Animes, Mangas and Games list done, including which animes I am currently watching, plan to watch and have watched, same goes for Mangas. For Games I added another column, in which I stated the titles of games I am looking forward to. The completed column on the other hand is grouped by consoles.
Sneak peek above - [x] [Fiction Blog]
I am doing these posts for every anime season, so naturally I picked my choices for the summer season. I actually have to admit, that a lot of animes that I’d really like to watch are coming. Nevertheless I decided a few month ago, that I’d never watch more than 6 on-going animes. It was a real tough decision. I already saved those 7 animes which I plan to watch sometime later in myanimelist and hope that my choices were good. In addition I have written and linked them, if they have mangas, trailers, light novels or games, so I can always track back.

As my father has given me a lot of DVDs to sell on eBay, I chose a few which I could watch. So I started with The Warlords and although the title hints on a lot of battle scenes or epic duel fights, the actual plot revolves around three bloodsworn brothers, better called friends.
It’s not one of those useless war movies. They do fight for ideals, which I find great in itself. Apart from war they feature a lot of themes, from friendship, over betrayal, down to murder. I really liked the focus on the persons rather than on the battles. The amount of blood usage was pretty good too, I don’t like it too bloody and unrealistic.
The few moments of love were wonderful, like when they just stared into each other’s eyes, that already conveyed more than words ever could. The soundtrack was great as well. The massacre scene was absolutely splendid and heart wrecking. The end was just as sad, I have to admit. No happy end, but still… a little epic.

Next I watched ‘Despicable Me’, since it came on tv. I was gaming and might not have caught every little detail, but I know that I like the plot, it’s something very refreshing, if not a little stereotypical. I love how it is so not cheesy and very funny. The villain turns hero concept is really good, and enjoyable. Gotta love how those kids take over the villain and turn him into a good person/father. The villain’s minions are the cutest on earth and I finally know where this ‘it’s so fluffy I am gonna die’ gif is from.

Another movie that aired on TV on Thursday. Although it wasn’t made by Ghibli, the setting, art and plot reminds me of it very much, which is no problem, cause it’s so very gorgeous. It’s made by the same genius (Shinkai Makoto) who also created 5 Centimeters Per Second (such an amazing movie!) and this appears to be a masterpiece too. The pacing is just right for me (a little slower would have been good though), the setting is splendid, as well as the storytelling. The audiovisual impact is absolutely fantastic. The theme of “loss and death” is very interesting in itself and I like how the story revolves around it, the characters being extremely open with their intentions. I even cried a little while watching this, so it’s definitely a good watch, might even re-watch this in the future.

Wow, another animation movie, well yes, although it was not as enjoyable as the two I’ve watched before it. Nevertheless it has some real good clever jokes and a beautiful animation/scenery. The plot is really weird (who got that idea?), maybe also a little satirical, but overall just a whole lot of fun. I absolutely like how they see the human world, since we humans only live to eat! That aside it teaches a little about moral and the value of family.
